I had a 20 year old Suncast Hose reel...WITH THE HOSE GUIDE. Thus, on the old one there were at least TWO moving parts: 1) The hose reel, and 2) The hose guide. The hose guide is very necessary because the hose guide guides the hose from left to right across the hose reel....mechanically....your lovely, soft hands never have to touch the hose to guide it from left to right.

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT HOME DEPOT AND OTHER STORES FOR OVER 5 YEARS TO FIND A HOSE REEL THAT HAS THE REEL...AND ALSO HAS THE MECHANICAL HOSE GUIDE. I even bought a reel from Home Depot last week...but I had to return it because IT LACKED THE HOSE GUIDE!

But....glory be...this one has both...the hose reel...and the hose guide! Therefore I recommend it very much...5 stars! And, it is guaranteed NOT TO LEAK....another good feature!
