I had this hose for less than a week and it already tore. I am in the Philadelphia area and the temperature has been in the upper 90's all this week (mid July 2013). I am not sure if temperature is a problem for the hose.

It was an amazing hose when I used it the first few times. It's a great idea and if it didn't tear on me, I would have bought some more. When it fully stretches out, it feels like a regular hose and you can get a good amount of water pressure from the included plastic nozzle. I laid it out straight, made sure the nozzle was shut, and turned it on. After a few seconds (depending on how you set the water pressure), the pressure in the hose builds up and it fully expands and stretches to about 50 feet. I wouldn't leave the nozzle open when turning on the pressure because it will swirl around and you will have to get all wet trying to catch the nozzle head. When you turn off the water and release the pressure from the hose, it will contract and go back to it's original length and girth. It is light and would have made my life easier not having to wheel and carry a heavier hose around. However, after a few uses, it ripped.

In my video you can see how the hose expands and contracts and where it tore/ripped. I would normally lay it out straight and then turn it on, but in the video, I wanted to highlight more of the tear than anything else. It did not have a tear until I turned on the water earlier in the day. I thought an animal might have bit it, but it was expanding fine, and then suddenly water started coming out.

I really wanted to love this product, but it is poorly made. I cannot recommend this product.
