This is a nice, heavy-duty potable water hose with machined end fittings, not the cheap rolled ones that are easily damaged and then leak. We've used this hose on several camping trips, and it doesn't impart any taste to the water like some hoses do.

It really likes to stay coiled, tho. It comes rather tightly coiled up, and the hose takes a "set" until it's used. If the weather is hot, and it lays out in the sun, the "set" will come out of it.

We're very satisfied with this as a water supply hose for our fifth wheel camper, and would recommend it. I just hope it doesn't grow legs and disappear at some campground!

Well made, very solid, no leaks. The levers are a little stiff at first, but get easier to turn with a little use. Much better value than the old pot metal one I replaced that had welded itself to the hose. Had to actually cut the hose to get it off. Shouldn't have that problem with this good brass splitter. Good vendor. Connector came quickly and the vendor checked with me to be sure it was working well. I'll probably order another one for my other outdoor faucet.

This is such a great idea, and it works very well!

I fill this bag up once a week (it drains overnight and is usually low or empty the next day) and it waters slowly, so the water gets into the soil deep, rather than just running off (as it did when I tried to use a sprinkler to water the tree). It's easy to fill (just shove a hose in the red filler hole), and I have had no problems with the emitters (there are two of them on the underside) getting clogged or anything.

Within the first 10 days of using this bag, I noticed new growth on the tree (after two weeks of nothing since transplanting it), and it's been growing steadily ever since.

If you want a convenient, stress-free way to water a newly established tree, that will help it snap out of its newly-transplanted blues, this is a great solution. I'll probably keep using it until the tree is too big to fit inside the center ring (my tree's about 1.5" now, so it has a ways to go before it won't fit in the 4" aperture).

I'm a new home owner and I bought a cheap 50' hose to spray weed killer on the lawn. A hose is a hose, so why waste money? I learned quickly what misery a bad hose is. It was kinking in a dozen places before I even unwound it the first time. It was stiff, awkward, hard to move around, constantly kinking. I spent more time troubleshooting the line of hose than using it.

Gilmour Weeper/Soaker Hose 75-Foot 27075G Review

My original review was a five star. I am dropping it to two and I will explain below.

The older Gilmour soaker hoses are excellent if you have one that was made before 2012 HANG ON TO IT AND DON'T LET IT GO.

THE HOSES THEY SELL NOW ARE NOT THE QUALITY ONES THEY SOLD ONLY A YEAR OR TWO AGO.

I own several of the older hoses. I needed two more. I ordered them and the new is not the same quality as the old. The old ones have two seams and are heavy duty. On the older ones if you had a kink in the line all you had to do was turn the water on and the hose would straighten itself out. Not so with the new ones. Once they are kinked they stay kinked. This is an issue with me because I run mine through cattle panels that I tie my tomato plants to. It's harder for me to get the kinks out in a system like this. It was not an issue with the older hoses.

The newer hoses do not water as evenly as the old. Oh they are still a good hose but not nearly as good as they were just a few years ago.

I am not sure but I think the price of the new hose is higher than the old. So basically they have reduced their costs by making a lower quality hose and increased their profits even more by charging a higher price. I still need more hoses but they will not be the Gilmour brand. Their short term business practices have lost them a long term customer because I now have to assume that they have probably lowered the quality on all their products.

I dislike doing reviews like these. I really like my old Gilmour hoses and originally wrote a glowing review on them. I think that is what irritated me the the most. People may have bought the newer hoses based on my review. I'm glad Amazon lets us edit these reviews even after they are a couple of years old.

If Gilmour changes back to selling the old high quality hose I will edit this review again.

These water spikes really work and are very cheap. I am buying two more sets. All you have to do is put a teaspoon of water absorbing crystals such as Soil Moist in a 2L soda bottle and add water. The crystals will expand to the consistency of chunks of Jello to slow down the rate of flow of the water. Also, you might add a little liquid fertilizer in the bottle. Next water your plant container until the soil is completely moist. Finally screw the cone on the bottle and insert the bottle cone end down into the soil. As the soil dries water will slowly be drawn from the bottle. A 2L bottle should last at least a week if not much longer.

I had a 20 year old Suncast Hose reel...WITH THE HOSE GUIDE. Thus, on the old one there were at least TWO moving parts: 1) The hose reel, and 2) The hose guide. The hose guide is very necessary because the hose guide guides the hose from left to right across the hose reel....mechanically....your lovely, soft hands never have to touch the hose to guide it from left to right.

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT HOME DEPOT AND OTHER STORES FOR OVER 5 YEARS TO FIND A HOSE REEL THAT HAS THE REEL...AND ALSO HAS THE MECHANICAL HOSE GUIDE. I even bought a reel from Home Depot last week...but I had to return it because IT LACKED THE HOSE GUIDE!

The product is made with solid brass fittings and durable plastic. I imagine it lasting for a very very long time. Overall the product is very well made. You will not be disappointed with the quality.

On a side note, this has to be one of my better purchases. I use it for was washing cars, my home windows, and whatever else needs cleaning. Not only does it make my life easier, it actually makes things cleaner. In all of my applications, I used to fill a bucket with soap and water, wash a little area and then re-dip my wash mitt back into the bucket. Well every time I 'dipped' I would be placing dirt back into the bucket, making subsequent 'dips' less clean. And by the time I got the bottom of the bucket, there was only dirt and water left over. With the foamer the first application has as much 'clean' soap as the last.
