I bought this because the price (at that time) was cheaper than the corresponding all brass valve. It seemed difficult to turn when in actual use. Then the prices changed so that they both were nearly the same price. The latest purchase of the brass model is easier to turn off and on. In either case, the valves are of excellent construction. The handles can be easily changed to a more logical design which would be push to open (straight with the hose) and pulled to close (perpendicular to the hose).
