I've been using two-hole "owl eyes" sprinklers for my entire adult life, following the example of my father. Only nowadays you can't buy a good two-hole sprinkler. To save money, they now crimp a thin sheet metal bottom to the zinc top casting. This arrangement inevitably starts to leak with our (high) water pressure. Small leaks become bigger leaks until more water is exiting the bottom of the sprinkler than the top!

So I had to make a change. The Nelson "Pound Of Rain" had excellent reviews and a low price so I gave it a shot. Since then I've never looked back. In fact, I went and bought two more the next day.

Weight and stability are fantastic. The spray is incredibly uniform all across the flow spectrum. Even at very low flow rates the water breaks into tiny drops and falls in a perfectly uniform pattern. Meanwhile, the single-piece casting is so strong that I have absolutely no worries about it leaking, ever.

I'm delighted someone has continued to have this design manufactured without compromises or shortcuts that would adversely affect quality.
