I decided to reroute my hose from the faucet to reposition the hose reel. This plan would require making a right turn from the outdoor faucet to the hose reel and resulting in a hose kink and a reduction in pressure. What was a Potato Head to do?

I purchased this Kinkprotection hose extension with metal connectors on both ends. Because the faucet coming out of the house has so few threads, I added an additional washer to the kink protector. I was able to attach the extension to the faucet easily and make a water tight connection by hand. Connecting a hose to the other end was just as easy and just as leak free.
