Step 1 - Shut off the water supply to your sprinkler system. Make sure this is done first to avoid the risk of backflowing sprinkler system water into your drinking water pipes. Most systems have a backflow preventer valve but why take a chance?
Step 2 - Open the garden hose faucet that is inline with your sprinkler plumbing. Some water may trickle out but it shouldn't flow as you've already shut off the water supply to the sprinkler plumbing in step 1.
Step 3 - Screw the adapter onto the garden hose faucet.
Step 4 - Set your air compressor pressure regulator to 40 psi and connect your air hose to the adapter.
Step 5 - Run your sprinkler system in manual mode one zone at a time. In minutes the water will be blown clear of your underground sprinkler tubing.
