Water Right PSH-100-MG-1PKRS 100-Foot x 1/2-Inch Polyurethane Lead Safe Ultra Light Slim Garden Hose - Olive Green Review

We have a large area on the bank and in order to be able to water the area I had attached several hoses to another 100 foot hose (5/8 inch) and had to walk around the area dragging all the hoses around. The problem was that every time i tried to move the hose around to go from one spot to the next, the hose would ultimately fall on top of or catch a plant and break it. It was also a real pain to move the hose due to its weight. I even tried to put some stakes in the ground to stop the hose from falling on top of the plants but that solution didn't work too well either.

After some research and reading the reviews I came up with a solution that is working great. I kept the original 100 foot hose (5/8) attached to the spigot and ran it up to the bank. Then I attached a hose splitter to the end of it and connected this ultra light weight 100 foot hose and its 50 foot cousin to it. In this way, the heavy hose just sits there and acts as a spigot for these two light weight hoses. This combination gives me total coverage and this hose is so light weight that it is extremely easy to move it around. It doesn't damage any plants and the olive color blends in with the greenery quite nicely. The water pressure is plenty enough since you don't want to power wash your plants anyway! I highly recommend this hose.

I did not follow directions which specified a 1 1/2" hole. I sawed a slightly smaller hole, and filed just enough for a friction-less fit. I just put this together yesterday in the middle of a rainstorm and really wanted to get it in place to see how it works. The instructions were exceptionally clear and easy to follow. The kit even contains the hole saws you need for the barrel and the downspout. Probably start to finish, including reading the instructions and getting supplies ready, the process took maybe an hour. I bought a blue shipping food barrel and used that as my rain barrel. The rain diverter is very easy to put in and use. Since it was raining as we installed it, we stuck it in the hole in the downspout and water immediately streamed out of it, so we knew instantly that it worked. I got up this morning and the barrel is full to the top. The only drawback to this kit is that the spigot is nylon rather than metal, so it may not last very long. But the connections are solid heavy rubber, meaning I didn't have to caulk anything and it is not leaking a bit. I really recommend this kit for its ease and design.

Yard Butler HHRP-4 Rust-Proof Hose Hanger Review

This item is a great idea structurally to hold your garden hose on a wood post, or other material, outside. I appears to be simply electrical conduit that has been heated and bent using a heavy duty machine programmed to shape the form of this hanger. These conduit tubes comes bundled in 10 FT. lengths, so it would also pre-cut exactly the correct length for each hanger. I'm guessing the manufacturer would get 2 out of 1 piece of conduit.
Here's the problem, "Lifetime Guarantee" if ever defective per Amazon or the company Lewis Tools. Here is what they both said: "Product Description:
"Our Rust-Proof Hose Hanger eliminates crimps, kinks and tangles. This durable hose hanger holds 100 feet of hose and features a galvanized steel tube construction with a 'rust-proof finish'."

Electrical conduit is not made for outside use, the zink/galvanized coating is very thin. Mine is sitting right next to me as I'm typing, and I've placed the hose laying out in the yard to become soft from sunlight to pull it up to the hanger and hold the hose, The coating I see through the plastic cover, has 8 scrapes down to the metal!!!. The bag is in fine shape, it's how it comes in certain size bundle's that gets the scrapes before it's made or during the handling of each bundle of tubing while in the truck or during the off loading of the truck.

My point, I've had 38 years in the hardware business, I wanted something strong and not a cheap metal hanger that I need to paint or sand and touch up each year. This hanger is going to start to rust right away once I install this on my post. I have already removed the old one, marked and drilled the holes to run two stainless steel screws into the post, so this hanger is going up after I've finished this Review.

Lewis Tools and Amazon have inadvertently given incorrect statements when saying Rust Proof on this site and on the paper tag inside the plastic bag. The tag also covers the two holes, without any screws by the way, and that exposed metal from the holes being drilled, is going to rust also.

I believe you both need to have that "Rust Proof" on the tag inside its bag, and on Amazons site removed. I'm not interested in returning this item, but 'please credit my account'. Then go pull your stock and observe any scrapes down to the metal on your inventory. It is also difficult to have paint adhere to a galvanized surface until it has been subjected to the elements for a year. I am aware of some strong solvents that can be used to clean the surface or spots, that may work, and also, the paint might not adhere. I don't want to mention the solvents due to the danger involved for someone who isn't knowledgeable of the hazards of using and storing.
