There are times when one pays an exorbitant price for an item of convenience. This is one such item. There are times when I need to connect a couple of my Gardena 100' hoses to reach a portion of my back yard. I have a pit there for burning twigs and clippings when I can get a county permit. I keep a hose at hand with the water turned on at the faucet and a sprayer on the other end. The easiest way to connect the hoses is with this outrageously priced five cents worth of plastic (Gardena says it is made of 100% recycled paperboard). I paid that amount when I bought it as a birthday present to myself. Easy to use and works well.

Although the price is high this is a quality item made in Germany.
