Dramm 22728 Aluminum Quick Disconnect Review

I have both the aluminum and the brass versions. Both work well in terms of leaks or mechanics. However, the aluminum ones are very problematic. Once the anodizing wears off (one season for me) the aluminum begins to corrode. This results in white build ups and in my case actually welded the fitting to the brass end of the hose. I can't remove it even with a vice grips. So basically it ruined the hose for anything but that fitting and I suspect the fitting will also fail in another season. I checked other fittings on various nozzles etc. and the aluminum ones were all in various stages of deterioration.

It's false economy to buy these.
