my gutters are 15ft high & 5ft from the fence. I clamped the wand to a

telescoping roller painting pole and was able to clean the gutters while

standing on the ground. I could not see the inside of the gutters as I

was working but did several passes and this got the job done. I had a

ladder on the end to go up & check progress. For me the biggest advantage

was working from the ground and not risking a fall while working on the

ladder or roof.

There are times when one pays an exorbitant price for an item of convenience. This is one such item. There are times when I need to connect a couple of my Gardena 100' hoses to reach a portion of my back yard. I have a pit there for burning twigs and clippings when I can get a county permit. I keep a hose at hand with the water turned on at the faucet and a sprayer on the other end. The easiest way to connect the hoses is with this outrageously priced five cents worth of plastic (Gardena says it is made of 100% recycled paperboard). I paid that amount when I bought it as a birthday present to myself. Easy to use and works well.

Although the price is high this is a quality item made in Germany.

We purchased a Hunter Pro-C controller and operated it for one season. When our sprinkler guy came to start the system back up this spring, he could not get the controller to recognize most of the zones. The next day, I called the company about the problem since we had just planted some grass and needed to get the system up and running ASAP. A very cheery man helped me troubleshoot the problem over the phone, and we determined fairly quickly that we had a faulty module. Since our controller was still under warranty, he shipped me a replacement module and I had the system back up and running in no time at all! Most companies these days have terrible customer service, so I was floored at how helpful the Hunter folks are and how quick and easy it was for me to solve the problem myself with their support. I would not hesitate to recommend Hunter products and wish that the rest of the world would follow Hunter's customer service model. Life would be so much easier and more pleasant!

Gilmour Five Pattern Turret Sprinkler 775 Teal Review

I have been using this for a year for spot watering dry places in my yard. It's especially useful for small areas and it is much better than the Nelson equivalent which has serious uniformity problems.

The only issue with this one seems to be that it starts to leak profusely after a while because the internal water connection becomes loose. It can easily be repaired as follows:

1. Remove the single screw from the bottom and lift off the rotating top.

2. Pull out the round water transfer fitting on the base (identifiable by the small rubber O-ring).

3. Remove the metal spring washer, which has probably become flattened out over time.

4. Bend the spring washer into a more warped shape. It's best to bend it in thirds rather than in half.

5. Put spring washer back on and reassemble the way it came apart.

I intend to get another one of these for my other hose. Very handy.
