Well, you can hardly complain about the product when you have no other options available to you :) Anyways, I have to replace the impeller about once a year and it is imperative that after you take the pump apart you clean it thoroughly before re-installing the new impeller otherwise, any debris that is left behind could shorten the lifespan significantly.
