I have a heavy duty garden hose made of thick rubber. This product was very hard to install and is apparently intended for cheaper hoses. In order to tighten the screws enough, I had to first clamp the parts together with locking pliers. Otherwise, the hose held the parts too far apart. After tightening the screws a bit, I would tighten the pliers. I repeated the process a few times until it was obvious that it wouldn't get any tighter. It leaks a tiny bit, but I'm okay with that.

Dramm 12804 Touch-N-Flow Rain Wand 30-Inch Length, Green Review

I bought this watering wand along with the regular valve version they sell (no grip on and off). We used them both a lot. This touch and flow basically failed, the o-ring on the shut off piston got unseated and the unit would remain about a third on when you let go of the handle. I liked the unit so much, I was arranging to buy another one, but I first asked Dramm about the issue. They told me the unit was warranted, and if I could see them a photo of the bar code they would send me a replacement. They did, free of charge I might add and included a Dramm 9 position revolver to make amends. I love it, we already have one but needed another, it's as though they read my mind. This sort of service is disappearing from the world. Understand that things break, but also understand that you are buying from a company that cares about a customer base.

Planter-Urn Rain Barrel - Terra Cotta Review

Purchased this item for the front side of my house and was pleased at its appearance from the get-go. It came with the spigot installed, all we had to do was alter our down spout to empty into the barrel. The container is pleasing to look at and really does look like a terra cotta urn. My neighbor thought it was actual terra cotta until I told her otherwise.

We rated this items a 3 out of 5 due to two issues. (1) The spigot leaks at the insertion point between the spigot and the barrel. We will need to purchase additional supplies to rectify this problem. (2) The hose that comes with the barrel kinks and prevents good water flow unless you pinch it back into shape and hold it in place while filling up your water receptacle.

Overall, we're happy with the look of the product, but the design flaws need a few tweaks.

I have two of these, and have used them one season. The programming is extremely easy to use and gives you enough options -- much simpler than the some of the other digital ones. The easy programming is a big plus if you are establishing a lawn and need to start with a lot of watering and then reduce it over time. The batteries are very easy to change ... and you should plan to run through a set of 3 AA batteries about every six weeks if you have the valves working daily. There is a low-battery indicator to let you know when they need to be changed. Overall, ease-of-use is a huge plus on this item. Like another reviewer noted ... you do have to replace the cover each time after changing the programming, which takes about 5 seconds.

You can set the start time so that if you are using multiple units they do not run at the same time. I've had good luck with reliability this season, better than the Melnor digital units, which I've basically retired due to the valves not closing all the way.
