I bought this hose to use with my beloved indestructible Dramm 12502 Colormark Premium Rain Watering Wand 30-Inch Length with 8-Inch Foam Grip, Green. I had seen complaints in the comments about the water flow, but hoped that it would have enough water pressure to run a watering wand for my plants and flowers. It's beautiful, USA and well made, well-reinforced at each end with coils, etc etc. But apparently 3/8" is just not going to cut it for my wand. It dribbles weakly, even with the spigot open at full throttle.
There's a tear in my eye, but I'm packing it up to send it back. I'm going to move the brass valve from my wand onto the base of my old (now-pinhole-leaky) hose, and turn it on and off from there so that I can have it at the ready without it continuously spraying out the pinholes that are developing.
Should've thought of that in the first place, I guess. (sigh.)
Nine hours later, I'm editing this review... a post to Water Right's Facebook page got me a same-day response, and I thought it would be worth sharing here:
We have explored making the larger coil hose and may decide to offer it next season. By the way, some watering wands work well with our hose and others are designed for higher water volume. If you try other wands, you might find success. Thanks.
-- I'll be headed to the store to look into other watering wands tomorrow. I'm keeping my Dramm's valve, but perhaps I can find a head that'll work better with the lesser flow.
