Couldn't put it together myself, so hubby did that. Wanted to have the color match our house trim so I found plastic covering spray paint (Rustoleum Painter's Touch Ultra Cover) - a close color to our trim.

Had a problem with the overflow. Didn't know you had to saw it open. Customer service clued me in. After reading others comment on what they used for a drain hose, I came to the conclusion that the sectional hose from my pool's Baracuda fit perfectly. Had some hose sections from an older cleaner that I spray painted with the same paint. Problem solved. They can be bought online - Amazon or Ebay. One site even carried them in grey. One end is 1.25" and the other 1.5". Fit snuggly.

Also drilled holes in the planter and lined it with used dryer sheets and washed Swifter duster sheets.

I actually had a curly hose for many years that I purchased when I first bought my MH. Someone stole it from my site up in Oregon. I had actually taken the MH out for the day and left the hose attached to let people know I would be back. I guess that wasn't the wisest thing to do. Anyhow, I couldn't find another for months and had to use the reguarl 25 foot white hose. What a pain that is. This stores in a small containter that I keep all my water related things in and is so much neater looking at the campsite. I would recommend this product whole-heartedly.

WARNING WARNING WARNING

After using this hose for three RV trips of one week each, on the fourth trip I hooked it up and it looked just like a sprinkler system. There were large cracks every inch or so along the entire hose. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE HOSES!!!!!!!!!!!

I was originally very happy with this hose pot. I bought one for my wife for Christmas and was so happy with the look I bought two more. However after about 3 months it started rusting! I tested it with a magnet and it is clearly not copper. The description says "brushed copper finish". I think this is deceptive and misleading. Algreen 81111 Cascata Rain Water Collection and Storage System, 65-Gallon, Dark Brown Review

I purchased one of these (not from Amazon and in a slightly different color) a few months ago and I am reasonably happy with it so far. However, there are some issues.

After 3-4 months of use I can testify that the Cascata is a great way to deliver water to a small garden patch in my backyard without breaking a sweat - when it gets hot and dry, I simply attach a hose that branches into a network of drip soaker tubes and I don't need to worry about it much. The top, which is supposed to be a planter, I keep it as a small bird bath.

I can't say anything about customer support because I did not need any help yet.

This is what I like about this product:

- Large capacity. 65 gallons is a lot of water but this is okay because one big downpour may be enough to fill it up where I live.
- Good looks.
- Setup seems to be easy but, I must admit, I chose to hire a professional to set up the base, connect the down spout and make sure that the connection to the soaker tubes fit.

Issues:

- The accessories do not seem to match the quality and design of the barrel itself.
- The overflow hose is not sufficient to keep up with the inflow during a heavy rain so, if you have a finished basement, be very careful.
- The 20 year warranty covers the barrel only and none of the accessories so, unless the barrel cracks or explodes on its own and you capture that on a video and you can provide 'proof of purchase', don't expect much from the warranty.

Rating:

I hesitate between 3 and 4 stars. The serious overflow issues and the warranty tell me that I should grant this 3 stars but the fact that it worked well ever since installation bumps up the score to 4. It is possible that, had I interacted with the customer service my ratings were lower - from the others' reviews - but, since I didn't, I can't factor in 'support' so the 4 stars should be viewed within that context.
