Couldn't put it together myself, so hubby did that. Wanted to have the color match our house trim so I found plastic covering spray paint (Rustoleum Painter's Touch Ultra Cover) - a close color to our trim.

After reading others comment on what they used for a drain hose, I came to the conclusion that the sectional hose from my pool's Baracuda fit perfectly. Had some hose sections from an older cleaner that I spray painted with the same paint. Problem solved. They can be bought online - Amazon or Ebay. One site even carried them in grey. One end is 1.25" and the other 1.5". Fit snuggly.

Also drilled holes in the planter and lined it with used dryer sheets and washed Swifter duster sheets.
