I DO NOT work for this company,I want to say that up front. This product works. I have tried everything known to mankind to clear my Koi pond. NOTHING had worked. I was ready to fill my pond in with dirt until I tried HYDRA CRYSTAL. THIS PRODUCT IS THE BEST PRODUCT ON THE MARKET THAT I HAVE EVER USED!!! Nothing comes close to clearing up the algee(green,brown,can not see a thing in the pond) water. I will never waste my $ again on anything else. Now about the product. First thing is you need to read and follow the directions to the tee. You may THINK you need more of the hydra crystal to clear the pond,but after you test the water,you will find that you only need the clarifier they give you. I have used the Hydra Crystals only 2 times this summer and our weather in NC has been raining alot. After I tested it, It did not need extra Crystals,it needed the clarifier,a 5 gal bucket of water and 3 scoops (I have a 3000 gal pond) cleared the water right up. In the beginning when I used the Hydra crystals for the first time I did the min. dosage. I never put anything in my pond the first time without watching for reactions. I have fish and plants in it. It cleared it by the second day. A week later I noticed the pond was getting cloudy,dirty looking,a bit green,brown,so I followed up with another min. dose of crystals. That's all it took folks. HURRAY MY POND WAS CLEAR!!! I could watch my fish and they were so happy,they litterly jumped for joy,(had to put 2 fish back in the pond.) Read the directions ,and follow them.
Now for the second thing about clearing the water.You need to keep your filters on. Clean them often. I was cleaning them 3-4 times a day.I have filters for my skimmer and falls and they are very expensive, I would spend over 150.00 a year just on filters. What I found at lowes will floor you. Filters. Not for your pond but for the floors.(I had to do the pun sorry). In the cleaning dept they have filters for the electric floor cleaners. 4 different thicknesses. Red,black,green and white, White is the tightest of them all. They are cheep!!!!! 6 bucks each.They come in a circle but you only have to cut them to your size with sizzors. I buy all of them and rotate.
