***Update!! Since my last post on this product, a lot has happened. We were able to send a video of the product leaking, and for that, they sent a replacement section. They did not send the matching color, but it did not leak, so I was going forward. A few days ago, I received a call from the VP at Good Ideas. He was very upset on how this situation was taken care of, or not taken care of. He said since they messed up on customer service so bad, he was going to send another unit to me. Not just another panel, but the Whole Kit! I did not expect this! It arrived today; 06-27-13. The success with this product so far has been amazing! Our tomato plants are around 5.5 ft. tall, with fruit hanging everywhere! The drip watering method must be it.
I purchased the Good Ideas Garden Wizard Raised Bed Garden for growing heirloom tomato plants. It was more expensive than I wanted to spend, but I thought with the self watering feature, it may be worth it. Well guess what? It leaks! After filling the tanks several times, I noticed where the water seemed to be coming out, under one of the corners. My first thought was, I did not fasten the dripper hose properly and it had come loose. After removing some plants, and about 1/3 of the dirt in the bed, I was able to verify that it is not leaking from the hose connection. I am going to contact Good Ideas, and see what their solution is. I hope to update this review after that. But right now, I would say; beware!**UPDATE** I contacted Good Ideas this morning, explained the issue. I was told I had to submit photos showing the defect for them to respond. I explained that this bed was already filled with soil, & has plants in it. She said that's what they had to have before they would look at it. She said besides, if they sent me a replacement section of wall, I would have to pull the defective one out to put the new one in. The big difference is taking the section out once to replace it is much different from pulling it to take photos, then reinstalling it, and then if they decide they want to cover the defect, remove it AGAIN & replace with a new section. The price for this unit was quite a bit more than I was comfortable paying. My logic to myself was it would be made of superior materials, and should give excellect customer service if needed. Wrong on both points.
