I only learned about lead in garden hoses recently by reading reviews of hoses. I never knew about that and was happy to order this hose. Although we kept it, I would not order one again. It kinks more than any other hose I've ever used in my entire life, including boat hoses. Any health benefit I receive from no lead, is probably FAR outweighed by the health detriments I get from the large amounts of adrenaline pumped into my system every time I try to use this hose and get so frustrated. It kinks when it's moved around. I would happily use a six foot version to fill my dog's outside water bucket, but to regularly use this 50 foot hose is a lesson in extreme patience. I will probably end up cutting it off and using it for water bucket fills.
