Gilmour Extra Large Coverage Sprinkler 198LMS Review

I bought this sprinkler to cover a 12,000 sq. ft. backyard. I get about a 30' radius circle which is about 3000 sq. ft of coverage (quite a bit less than 52' radius of 8500 sq. ft rating but I assume that's because of my lower water output in the backyard spigot).

The sprinkler does drip/spray more water within 2 ft. of the base due to the reflected spray from rotator arm. If this sprinkler had an internal rotating mechanism to prevent water reflections and dripping near the base, I would give 5 stars.

Overall this works great. The rotator arm is somewhat noisy outside but is barely audible within the home. This would probably distrub sleep if running in the a.m. and a nearby window is open. I run the sprinkler on a timer from 3:30am to 7am and if I'm awake I have to listen hard to see if it's on (I'm a light sleeper and my windows are closed so it never wakes me up).
