No matter how much teflon tape I've placed on this, it continues to leak from the back connected to the main faucet when I leave the water on to a mainline out to my garden and timer. The quick connects stay on for a moment then slip and begin to leak. I yanked them off and threw them away. I much prefer the dials to turn the water on and off, now if I could only get the rear of the thing to quit leaking.

Normally, I don't get too worked up over a garden hose - but this one is the best I have ever used. After going through about 4 supposedly "kink free" Costco and Home Depot specials - I finally broke down and bought this hose. No more kinky action - and this time that is a good thing. Just a strong, reliable hose. It is very sturdy, coils up easily and - so far - has not kinked. It is pricey, but not as pricey as replacing a lousy hose every 8-12 months. Costco now carries a "six ply" hose - but this one is 8 ply and feels more substantial.

UPDATE: June 2011 - Still going great. Kink free and as good as new. Still the best hose I have ever used and recently ordered another.

I use these with my Flojet pump at my deer camp. I use the pump to provide showers and may eventually plumb up a wash basin. These fittings allow easy switching of hoses. In the winter I use the Reliant water jug cubes so I don't have to worry about freezing lines and fittings. Very disappointing construction, a laminated paper insert, possibly styrofoam is the heart of this mister. The plug is about the size of quarter and a little thinner it has two little holes that spins water up the conical shaped sides of the head to produce a mist. The mist isn't that fine and the insert is going to wear out long before the brass has even started thinking about wearing out. Then you'll be left with a one pound brass paperweight. Definite regret on this purchase. Consider the Fogg It nozzle instead.
