Beckett Pond Fish Spitter Review

This is a nice addition to any pond or water feature. You can hook up a small pump and have a visually, but almost silent water feature, or hook up a little larger pump in the 250-300 gph range and have a fire hose effect. I have a small patio pond setup and wanted a gentle water feature to give a little sound, but not splash all the water out. With that, I hooked up a little sub 100 gph pump and mounted it vertical. This gives a nice soft flow to aerate the water and add a nice soft sound.

The weak point on this spitter is the connection. The brass connection to the resin was weak on the one I bought and actually broke. I took some quick-steel and fixed the issue, but I feel they could have made the connection area a little stronger.

Has a nice brass fitting, which is rarely seen in todays products.

FYI, the fish is smaller than most realize. When installed on a full size pond, it looks small and out of balance, but fits nicely on small 60 gallon ponds or patio ponds.
