This little guy really has range,sensational spitting ability, I hooked him up to a solar pump and he spits quite far. I would recommend that you purchase some aquarium sealer glue as the connection piece dripped, not really a secure connection. Doesn't appear that was glued on very well, but easily remedied with sealer to make it water tight. The swallows in my backyard have decided it is a game to fly under the stream.

This is a replacement item for the one we had. I have a 7,000-gal koi pond that I run the filtration system on non-stop, all year. The original ballast lasted 9 years. After the first one failed, my husband attempted to replace it with "cheaper" ballasts from a big-box store. We went through 3 of those in 3 years. Not so cheap after that. It could be that one of the reasons they failed was they ran so hot. (I would touch them and wow! Couldn't believe how hot they were.) This one is just warm to the touch. I have confidence in this product.

I had the lower-power version of this sterilizer ("Advantage 2000"; a 7w unit) for several years before the bulb finally died. My local aquarium store mistakenly sold me the higher power Advantage 2000+ 15w bulb. A call to Aqua indicated that I could not reliably run the 15w bulb from the 7w transformer (I supposed as much), so I ordered the 15w transformer to match the new bulb and it works just great. I have a 150 gal aquarium and although the 7w bulb did keep the algae at bay, I figured the 15watter should do a little better; it certainly took me from opaque green to crystal clear water in about a week.

Pretty impressed with this product. Fish spitter is well made and fiber optic globe adds a nice accent at night. Lights dont change colors but do change their intensity at random which adds a cool effect. Got a lot of compliments already on this spitter. In just two 8 hour days we were able to start and finish our own waterfall that is as gourgeous as the pictures from professional landscapers who quoted me $4000 and my pocketbook costs was less than $2000 in the kit, stone,landscaping materials and hired help.

The system offered by Greystone has 90% of the components materials you will need to have 3200 gallons of water cascading down a slope with the tranquill sounds of a natural stream. My recommendation is to order the Easypro resvoirs for your water pit and 3 cans of black foam.

The black foam will help you hide the little mistakes in creating a waterflow. Afterall, this is my first and last project for a waterfall. Do not need another stream.

Your success is to learn from 'how-to' videos from youtube and do a little online research which will make you a professional installer of a pondless waterfall. The knowldge is having the right materials and patience.

My neighbors could not visualize or understand a pondless waterfall until they saw it working and now we have the 'Jones'es effect' with them wanting a safe waterfall that you do need to worry about with small children. it is safer than a pool or hot tub.
