Okay first off, this is a male to male 3/4" connector for HOSES, it says so right on the package when it arrives, both ends are the same thread that is standard on your garden hose. I see that the description is somewhat confusing but lets get it straight, it's for hoses, not pipe, not anything else. If you need to connect two female hose ends together for whatever reason then this will get the job done. It's imported which is kind of a bummer for me, but it works fine.
