Thank you Gardena for such an awesome product! Thank you Amazon for carrying this product! This product is awesome. Don't understand why this isn't carried in the USA. I know Gardena is popular in the UK, and Canada. The bright person who built my house decided to put the water spigots a foot or 2 from the ground. I have tried many adapters, brass goosenecks, elbows, extensions. All failed, the spigot is simply too close to the ground and points straight down. The goose neck was the best I had, then I had to use an extension hose, but always kinked. This product fits on the spigot perfectly, and swivels on the spigot, as well as pivots to 90 degree angle. You need to buy the connector (Gardena 36917 quick connector) as well for your hose, no leaks, great product! Also other mentioned they don't like the plastic, it looks very durable, and I would buy this again!

Dramm 15044 ColorStorm Premium Water Timer, Green Review

This timer works well, is simple to use, and provides accurate timing up to 2hrs! The ability to time for 2hrs is the primary reason I purchased this timer. It's nice that it comes in several colors, but of course that's more a marketing gimmick than anything. As with most timers these days, the shut-off is rather abrupt, which can cause your pipes to bang -- a minor annoyance for me. I especially like the fact that it's all-mechanical so there is no need to worry about batteries corroding over time or wearing out mid-cycle.

Previous reviews mention leaking. The issue here is that the combination plastic washer/screen that you can see sticking out the top of the faucet connection-end on the photo is lousy. The material is way too hard to allow you to make a water tight connection. I replaced this inferior part with a rubber washer/metal screen from ACE Hardware and it worked like a charm.

If Dramm would use a decent screen/washer I'd give this device 5 stars.

QuarterMaster silcocks come in lengths from 6" to 14" in 2" increments. When I needed to replace one of my old outside faucets, I decided to use this 12" QuarterMaster, which was conveniently available from my local Home Depot.

My first quartermaster lasted one season, but when I turned to open it the following spring, it would not fully close again. When I attempted to take the silcock apart, only part of the stem came out, the other part was broken and jammed inside. So, I yanked the whole thing out and replaced it with another QuarterMaster. However the new replacement silcock started leaking again only a couple months later. This time I decided to contact the manufacturer, B&K Mueller.

Alright, I purchased this for about $17.50 in May 2013 after S&H. It leaked from day one, I contacted the Seller and he/she told me to add electric tape, not plumber tape. I added the tape and it leak a lot less but not perfect for sure. I've lived with the leak since May it's now September 9, 2013. Now it leaks even more, I'm tired. I'm back in the market. I've looked around and this filter is great if you don't want to upfront a large amount of money. Let's assume this filter would have lived the 6 month or 4000 gallons it's rated for without leaking. Now let's compare it to other filters Available here at Amazon. First, the "Rainshow'r GG-2010" is rated at 20,000 gallons. Lets do the math, 20000/4000=5x$17.50=$87.50. The Rainshow'r GG-2010 cost 56 dollars rounded up at the time of this review and free shipping. Amazon also sells a filter called "Garden Hose Filter - Removes Chlorine, VOCs, & Pesticides/Herbicides" aka clean water fun it cost $36.95 at the time of this review. Rated for 10,000 gallons. Using the same Voodoo math as before I get $43.73 rounded up. Not big savings nerveless, a bit less and much more friendly to the consumer's pocketbook. I was leaning toward the "Garden Hose Filter - Removes Chlorine, VOCs, & Pesticides/Herbicides" aka Clean water Fun till I saw a video on youtube by Growingyourgreens called "Best In-Line Water Hose Filter for your Organic Garden". In the video John talks about the Clean water Fun & Boogie Blue Water Filter, The Boogie is rated between 35,000 and 45,000 Gallons depending on initial water hardness. Using the link provided on this Youtube video I purchased it Tonight(09-9-2013) for 39.99 + S&H + tx=$47.85 with a free 10 gallon sample of tea (I believe is worm casting tea). As you can see even the 10,000 clean water fun can prove to be a better value. But, if all you want is a filter which cost very little out of pocket and you don't use a lot of water this filter is ok. I would have rated it 5 stars if it would have not leaked and last at least 6 month dry. Well, Hope this review helps, have fun gardening.

Weathermatic S20P light duty solenoid Review

My Weathermatic controller was indicating an error on one of my watering zones. In troubleshooting I found the old original (8 years old) solenoid shorted out. This was an easy replacement and it worked fine. The new solenoid does make a buzzing noise which does not seem to be a problem altough I've don't recall any of my old ones doing it.
Remember to get new water tight wire nuts at the hardware store to replace the old ones as they are one time use only.

I bought this adapter to use with "Gilmour 10 Series 1-Inch Diameter 6 Ply Flexogen 1 Inch X 100 Feet 10-10100 Green" hose. It doesn't work because the female fitting on that hose is deeper than on hoses with 3/4" fittings, and the adapter's male thread is too short to seat against the washer. I would guess that the same problem would occur with all 1" hoses.

Do NOT buy this product unless you plan on keeping it well protected indoors and then I'm not sure it will not rust. I have mine for less than two weeks and it is rusted. The rim on the top and all the sides are rusted. This is JUNK. If I could give it less than one star, I would. In fact, this is more like a minus 10 stars. I guess I'll have to get a can of Rustolium and spray it but I'm sure it will not last long. Waste of $69.00. I would love to return it but I don't think they will take it back after 10 days.
