I imagine this would be the perfect solution for installing a sprinkler system. My experience was renovating a ten zone system installed the the previous home owner.
If you are installing in multi-zones of 2-3 valves you can buy the entire manifold ready to install, less PVC cement. I purchased 3 valve manifolds and then called Orbit to figure out the parts needed to add additional valves which I ordered through Amazon. Orbit was very helpful and even e-mailed me the part numbers I needed. I also ordered the Orbit underground boxes and box bottoms which are made to hold these manifolds. Once installation is complete repairs to the system like replacing a malfunctioning valve is simply hand loosen/tighten the joints. No cutting, fitting, glueing involved. This is the third sprinkler system I've owned/maintained; wish I had this from the first one.

Orbit Irrigation Telescoping Wand Gutter Cleaner Review

If you hit the end piece on anything, the whole neck starts to unscrew. The water hose screws into a metal housing, then this metal housing with the on and off lever screws into really cheap plastic that has threads. The metal housing kept slipping out of the plastic. I finally got it screwed in tight enough to hold but it was at an angle because it had created new threads. Also mine was missing the rubber peice that goes inside to keep the water from leaking from the hose, so I took one off of an old hose nozzle and used it. The device kept falling apart or I would have to re-screw on the top. In the end I could do what I needed, but not without having to constantly stop and rescrew the top in, or fix the bottom. Dont use in the winter, because you will get a shower during the entire process! If you have the money go look for a better model.

EZ-FLO 3/4 Gallon Hose Bib Fertilizing System Review

I purchased this to water tomatoes.
I used Miracle Grow in granular form. I just put in the Miracle Grow and added water to dissolve the fertilizer.

The container has to be screwed on -very tight- in order to not leak.
The "flow rate" dial (on the top) is -hard- to turn and adjust. I'm not sure how much difference the settings make in the amount of product dispensed as the contents are mixed with incoming water and gradually get weaker as time of use goes on.

There are three small washers with different sized holes that can be inserted in the connection to the hose. These are used for low volume water flow rates. I used it with a flow rate of about 1 gpm and it seemed to work well.

UPDATE:
After using this for a month one of the 'nipples' where the small hoses connect to the adapter broke off. The small hoses are pretty 'stiff' so I can see how this might frequently happen. The folks at Drip Depot are pleasant to work with and are sending me a new adapter. The adapter on mine is a different color (white) than the one currently pictured (black) so I am hoping it as been redesigned to be stronger.

I bought two of these. They are really solid and look convincingly like real stone. You can't tell by looking at the picture but there are two pipes coming off the top where you can place overflow pipes. The hose attaches to a plastic outlet and has an optional on/off nozzle that you can put on as well. That's great for anyone using them for drip irrigation. The only thing I would change is having a metal outlet. Replacing the plastic one could be a problem because the top opening isn't easy to get into. Maybe ask a super skinny person to help you out, hehe. Also, it looks like the whole top comes off but it doesn't, it's just a design feature, just the round opening with the screen can be opened.

Dramm ColorStorm 9-Pattern Premium Turret Sprinkler With Heavy Duty Metal Base - Orange 15022 Review

Best multiple pattern sprinkler by quite a bit. This type waters in odd shaped areas. Only had ours a month but used it every other day in another part of the garden. Quality is better than two or three others we have tried. Generally the watering patterns are fairly even.

Only gave it 4 stars because there is one or two patterns missing on this and others that would be helpful. That would be 90 deg and 45 degrees for corners and narrow triangle shapes. The rounded square pattern on this one is unique and superior to sharp corner square which puts too much water in corners.

Sprinklers take a beating weather wise being outdoors and under the sun. Plastic has a limited life with this exposure. Sprinklers break or wear out after a few years commonly. Maybe people do not want to pay for a quality metal sprinkler with brass fittings. We have one that has lasted over ten years and shows no sign of wear or performance. It is an impulse type that covers a large area.

For a multi-pattern sprinkler this is the best I have used. It would be 5 stars if it had one or two other useful patterns.

Melnor Inc 101 Flowmeter Water Timer Review

The 101 is a great timer. I like the fact that it's powered by the flow. It does have some problems though.This timer(flowmeter) is cheap. Too cheap. I've purchased more than 30 and watched them age and product evolve over the last 10 years. 10 years ago they worked flawlessly in the original models. No leaks and no failures. Five years ago Melnor went to a design that incorporated plastic parts, but I don't think there was problem in that development, but coincident with that and other modifications, was chronic leaking.The problem lies primarily in the way the current design threaded female receptor connects to the frame. They use a small screw to secure the female threaded adapter to the body. It leaks, at least on those mfg'ed in the last 3 years. Another leak point occurs under the dial. There shouldn't be a problem here because the dial is actually independent of the spring loaded shut-off valve. The dial gear train merely releases the spring. Previously, these problems didn't occur. I wish I had bought a batch of the old units.Both of these complaints point to quality control. In a given mfging run several units may have problems. The probability of getting a problem unit has risen from 5% five years ago to an amazing 30% now. If you doubt, ask Yardbirds, that is, if they would bother to collect such records.I keep buying them in hopes I will get a few good ones. I'd be willing to pay twice as much for out of the box leak free reliability, at least the reliability they used to have. Quality has fallen partially because the company believes they can't sell a non-electric unit at a price that could support the quality.I don't know what others are doing with the 101, but these reports about getting 2 - 3 years out of them don't square with my experience. They last indefinitely even while exposed to the elements. I've yet to have one fail as long as it wasn't a failure out of the box.Another thing: the sun's UV erases everything printed on the dial, so you have to emboss your own set points. No biggee, but the company incurs superfluous cost in providing all this gallonage and hours, which is also rendered superfluous by variations in flow velocity and imprecision in quantities desired. The company should leave it to the user to determine how far to rotate the dial for some preferred quantity of water.Last thing: Don't rotate the dial beyond 210 degrees.
